How the queue works
Because €1,999/month works differently from an hourly retainer, here's exactly how requests move through it.

Add requests to your queue
Keep your ideas, fixes and improvements in one shared backlog. Add as many requests as you like.

Set the priority
You decide what matters most, and can reorder the queue whenever priorities change — as long as I haven't already started the next request.

One request, built end to end
I work on a single request at a time. Smaller requests are often completed within a few business days; larger ones are broken into deliverables.

On to the next
Once a request is complete, I move straight to the next priority. No new proposal, no re-briefing, no handover.

FAQ.
What can I submit in the ongoing partnership?
Anything Shopify-related that fits ongoing development, optimisation or technical direction: new sections and features, bug fixes, performance work, theme changes, smaller integrations, subscription improvements, audits and questions about how to approach something. If you're unsure whether it fits, just ask.
What does "unlimited requests" actually mean?
You can add an unlimited number of requests to your backlog. It doesn't mean unlimited development capacity. I work through requests sequentially, with one active request at a time.
How does one active request at a time work?
Add as many requests to the queue as you like, and reorder them whenever priorities change. I work on one at a time, start to finish, then move straight to the next.
How quickly are requests completed?
It depends on the request. Smaller requests can often be completed within a few business days. Larger requests are broken down into manageable deliverables and worked through progressively. I don't make artificial turnaround promises that encourage rushing work just to hit a deadline.
Can priorities change?
Yes. As long as I haven't already started the next request, you can reorder your queue whenever priorities change.
What is scoped separately?
Larger standalone projects, custom apps, complex integrations, migrations, complete redesigns and other work that doesn't reasonably fit into the ongoing development queue. We'll discuss those requirements first and scope them separately.
Do I have to start with the monthly partnership?
No. If you have one specific problem, a Sprint is often the easiest place to start. You can also bring me in directly for a larger project or Shopify build, and move into the monthly partnership afterwards if you need ongoing support.
Are there unused hours to carry over?
There aren't any hours to carry over. The ongoing partnership isn't an hourly retainer — you're paying for continuous access to my development capacity through the request queue, not a fixed number of hours.
Can I pause or cancel?
The ongoing partnership is designed to stay flexible. If your backlog dries up or you no longer need continuous support, you don't need to keep paying for capacity you're not using. Specific cancellation and availability terms are agreed when we start.
